COVID-19 Update

To our valued clients,
We have been asked by a few clients as to when we will allow people back into the clinic. The doctors have reviewed all the current Travis County COVID recommendations and due to the progress of COVID-19 and in an effort to follow Travis County guidelines regarding COVID-19: our lobby is closed and all services are curbside with euthanasia being the only exception until further notice OR when guidelines change.

  • Arrival: When you arrive in the parking lot please call our clinic to let our office know you have arrived
  • Check-in: In the effort to maintain social distance, please remain in your vehicle until a staff member comes and pickups your pet for their appointment.
  • Check-out: Once your pet’s appointment is completed, we will meet you at your vehicle to discuss the results of your appointment and to satisfy payment
  • Prescription: Once you are notified that your pet’s prescription is available for pickup, your prescription will be waiting for you in the white mailbox on the front porch of our clinic, ready for pickup at your convenience.

Mobile Services: We are still offering mobile services on a case by case basis, please call our clinic for details. In an effort to slow the spread of the Coronavirus, if you or someone you know is feeling sick, please reschedule your home visit with us, and we also ask that you do not visit the clinic. If you have questions regarding scheduled vaccines or any other concerns we ask that you please call our clinic.

We thank you for your patience and efforts during these unprecedented times.

Spicewood Vet Clinic Team

To our valued clients,
We have been asked by a few clients as to when we will allow people back into the clinic. The doctors have reviewed all the current Travis County COVID recommendations and still believe that SVC should remain curbside only – with euthanasia being the only exception.

Central Texas has seen a large spike in hospitalizations, and there have been a number of local businesses forced to close due to COVID exposures recently. Travis County is currently in stage 4. By continuing curbside appointments and maintaining social distancing, we can hopefully avoid a forced closure and be available for YOU if/when you need us.

We will continue monitoring the situation and do our due diligence to keep our employees and the community safe.

We greatly appreciate your cooperation.

Sincerely,
Dr. Bennett & Dr. Lesczynski

Valued Clients,
Dr. Bennett and Dr. Kevin have been closely monitoring the coronavirus situation and have elected to put some preventive measures in place for the safety of our staff, clients, and ultimately our patients – your beloved pet.
First and foremost… Spicewood Vet Clinic is open for normal business. Keep an eye out for ongoing updates since this is a fluid situation and could change for the better or the worse at any time.

WE RESPECTFULLY REQUEST:
If you are already scheduled for an appointment PLEASE call the office if you or anyone in the home is sick or been in contact with any persons confirmed with COVID. We will discuss this situation on a case by case basis, and our decisions will ultimately be influenced by what is wrong with your pet.
For everyone else, we are implementing the following protocols in an effort to minimize the chance of transmission:

  • Effective immediately we will not be shaking hands at the clinic.
  • Our staff will be taking their temperatures each morning and will stay home if over 99.5 degrees. The CDC’s current guideline is 100.4 degrees.
  • We would like to give everyone the opportunity to be seen in the parking lot (weather permitting). A veterinarian and a staff member will come outside to your car or to the grass near the parking lot. ** cats must be in a crate and a staff member will bring them into the clinic (while you wait in the car) for safety reasons. **
  • In poor weather, or if you desire to be seen in the clinic: We will place you and your pet immediately into an exam room while only allowing 1 other owner to wait in the lobby. This will minimize person to person contact. ** This may require some owners to wait patiently in the parking lot. **
  • Effective immediately we will be wearing latex examination gloves for all appointments.

We appreciate your understanding and patience.

Sincerely,
Your Friends at Spicewood Vet Clinic
